Congratulations
to our new President!
Thanks
to the outstanding work of the outgoing
board of directors, 2009 saw the beginnings
of the kinds of changes and new programs
that helped make our gallery the number
one venue of its kind in the area. Remodeling,
painting, the addition of new slat board
and the opening of the new 'artful' gift
shop are just a few of the physical changes
that created the beautiful gallery that
we own today.
Our
own very successful juried art show and
the equally successful student shows ,along
with our ongoing watercolor classes make
us the place to go for showing, studying
and collecting fine art. It is the intention
of your new board to continue to make improvements
to the physical property and to go even
further in our fine arts presentations.
As an example, we are committed to 2 juried
shows this year and will continue our own
student show this august. We have opened
our gallery to the H.A.A. for their show
in January and will continue to work with
the other arts organizations in the area.
We will be expanding our classes with the
addition of Jan Schaeffer's 'Abstract Water
media' and Charme' Curtin's "Beginner's
Oil" classes.
And
most importantly we are seriously looking
into new and innovative ways to get our
message of " The place to go for affordable
collectable fine art'" out to the public.
With your support we can make 2010 the breakthrough
year for our gallery and organization.

City
Lights Gallery is owned and operated by City Lights
Artist's Co-Op, a Nevada nonprofit corporation.
The Co-op enjoys the support of the City of Henderson
Redevelopment Agency; its member are all local
artists.
Since
its October 2003 grand opening, Co-op members
have created a dynamic showplace for some of the
area's finest art work in a variety of media.
The
gallery is open from 10:00 to 5:00 Tuesday-Saturday and
10:00 to 9:00 Third
Thursday. Visit us at 3 Army Street, in downtown
Henderson. |
