President of City Lights Art Co-op and Gallery
|
Congratulations
to our new President!
There
have been some wonderful changes at our
City Lights Art Co-op and Gallery. We are
now designated as a Fine Arts Gallery with
local artists only. The great crafters we
teamed with have moved to their own venues
and we wish them well. The remodeling we
have done opens the front for a great presentation
for our Featured Artist every month. One
or more of our personal rooms will be used
for juried shows, and/or classes by excellent
teachers. We are involved in several outside
venues, including a juried show at the Liberace
Museum, the wonderful opportunity to show
our best work at the Henderson City Hall,
and various ideas to continue our commitment
to benefit the art world and community of
Henderson. We want to acknowledge the work
and effort put forth by Al "Who",
Merle Blair, the board and all of our members
who volunteer so much to make sure we are
an exciting, ongoing, and dedicated adventure.

City
Lights Gallery is owned and operated by City Lights
Artist's Co-Op, a Nevada nonprofit corporation.
The Co-op enjoys the support of the City of Henderson
Redevelopment Agency; its member are all local
artists.
Since
its October 2003 grand opening, Co-op members
have created a dynamic showplace for some of the
area's finest art work in a variety of media.
The
gallery is open from 10:00 to 5:00 Wed.-Sat. and
10:00 to 9:00 Third
Thursday. Visit us at 3 Army Street, in downtown
Henderson.
