Bio
As
a youngster, I was interested in drawing and sketching.
Throughout my life, I dabbled in art as a hobby, drawing
cartoons, portraits, nature scenes and animals, using
pencil and charcoal. After spending 39 years in higher
education as a teacher and administrator, I retired
to Sun City McDonald Ranch in Henderson, NV and enrolled
in watercolor classes. I have been mostly self-taught
with various classes and workshops with Jan Bennett,
Alfonso Lirani, Gabbie Hirsch, Judy Barton, and Robert
Long.
I
thoroughly enjoy the versatility and creativity of
using watercolor as a painting medium with flowers,
landscapes, and birds and animals.
I
am a member of the Nevada Watercolor Society, Boulder
City Art Guild, and City Lights Artists' Co-op. I
