Bio
A
contemporary watercolor artist presently residing
in Boulder City Nevada, Aileen was born and grew up
in Auckland, New Zealand and came to the United States
as a war bride after WWII. She is mostly self-taught
with various instructional workshops and classes at
Canada College in Redwood City, California, and workshops
with Zoltan Szarbo, Danile Umberger and a short course
with Carl Purcell and Osral Allred at Snow College
in Utah.
Her
work is very representative of the world around her
in her landscapes and the animal and bird life lifing
in her Southwestern United States environment. She
is an active member of the Boulder City Arts Guild,
City Lights Art Gallery in Henderson and a signature
member of the Nevada Watercolor Society.
She
currently has work being exhibited in Boulder City
Airport lobby, Adobe Realty office, Cristina's Treasures,
Jitters Coffee Shop, Girellis Deli, Community College
of Southern Nevada and Boulder City Arts Guild Gallery
in the Boulder Dam Hotel in Boulder City, Nevada.
She has participated for many years in Art In The
Park and the Boulder City Fine Art Festival in Boulder
City. She is an award winning artist whose work is
owned by collectors both nationally and internationally.
